According to preliminary estimates, in 2017 the production of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine in the goal weight is expected to be within 62,3 million tons with an average yield of 42,8 centners per hectare. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported on December 8.

Including , the expected whole yield of wheat  may amount to 26,1 million tons with a yield of 41 centners per hectare, maize for grain – 25,2 million tons at a yield of 56 centners per hectare, barley – 8,3 million tons with a yield of 33 , 1 centner per  hectare.

Thereafter, the rye harvest is expected at the level of 497,4 thousand tons with a yield of 29,1 centners per hectare, oats – 478,7 tons with a yield of 24,3 centners per  hectare, buckwheat – 180,3 tons with a yield of 10 centners per hectare, millet – 83,3 thousand tons with a yield of 15 centners per hectare, rice – 70,2 thousand tons at a yield of 55,3 centner per hectare.

In addition, according to preliminary data, 11,6 million tons of sunflower were harvested at a yield of 19,6 centners per hectare, soybeans – 3,8 million tons at a yield of 19,3 centners per hectare, rapeseed – 2,2 million tons at yields of 27,5 centners per hectare.

The whole yield of sugar beet will amount to 13.8 million tons at a yield of 433,3 centners per hectare.

In Ukraine  was produced 1.6 million tons of flour for 10 months of 2017

According to the results of 10 months of 2017, Ukrainian flour mills produced 1.59 million tonnes of flour, which is 1.5% less than in 2016.
