Laboratory
«G-Lab»
was founded in 2009
in Odessa, Ukraine.

Nowadays G-Lab present oneself as one of the best agro-laboratories in the south of Ukraine, which allows you quickly and effectively to conduct wide range of analyzes: from the simplest to the most complex physical and chemical research of various types of agricultural products, oilseeds and food.

The capabilities of G-Lab allow to test more than one hundred kinds of products using different methods of analysis.

High professional level of the G-Lab laboratory accredits the quality of the laboratory research. Annually our specialists pass qualification test, take part in interlaboratory comparisons of test results.

of products and raw materials
GMO
Determination of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in grain, feed and food products using the real-time PCR method. Both qualitative and quantitative determination of GMOs is held, as well as identification of certified genetic lines (species analysis).
Safety metrics

The laboratory is ready to fulfill following list of safety indicators:

  • toxic elements (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, copper, zinc)
  • micotoxins (aflatoxin B1, the sum of aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2), ochratoxin A, T-2 toxin, DON (vomitoxin), zearalenone, sumato fumonisins, patulin)
  • residual quantities of organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides
Pathogenic microorganisms
Indicators of pathogenic microorganisms in products. Pathogenic diseases all over the world firmly occupy the first place in the structure of the incidence of the population. Among them, one of the leading positions belongs to acute enteric infections (AEI). The growth trend of AEI is typical for all countries of the world. G-Lab offers an analysis service for the following pathogens: Salmonella, Escherichia coli (E. coli)
Quality indicators

Qualitative indicators determine during assessing the quality of any grain crops intended for a particular purpose. Qualitative indicators include:

  • Glucosinolates • Ash • Iodine value (IV)
  • Acid index • Acidity • pH
  • Gluten • Oil content • Mass content of protein
  • Mass content of moisture and solids • Fat mass content
  • Mass content of cellulose, • Mass content of amylum
  • Mass content of volatile substances, transparency
  • Mass content of unsaponifiable substances
  • Mass content of total phosphorus
  • Mass content of sugar, sucrose
  • Mass content of sulfuric acid
  • Mass content of crude protein
  • Mass content of extractive substances
  • Weight concentration of calcium and magnesium ions
  • Weight concentration of nitrate ions
  • Weight concentration of nitrite ions
  • Weight concentration of chloride ions
  • Metallagnetic, mineral impurities, vegetable admixtures, extraneous impurities

GMO
G-Lab conducts a qualitative GMO analysis to confirm the absence or presence of genetically modified plant material in a plant tissue sample or seed (genetic elements: 35S promoter and NOS terminator). G-Lab strictly conducts tests on GMO in accordance with the adopted regulations and provisions of the current standards ISO 17025.
Safety metrics

G-Lab conducts research of vegetable oils on:

  • organochlorine and organophosphate pesticides
  • micotoxins (Aflatoxin B1, Zearalenone)
  • toxic elements (iron, lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, copper, zinc
Quality indicators

The laboratory offers services of evaluation of the quality indicators of vegetable oils. Indicators characterizing the characteristic features and quality of vegetable oils include:

  • Viscosity
  • Density
  • Alkalinity
  • Seality
  • Content of impurities
  • Ash
  • Colour
  • Taste
  • Smell
  • Fat
  • Iodine value (IV)
  • Acid index
  • Saponification ratio
  • Occurrence of unsaponifiable substances
  • Transparency
Radiological control
G-Lab carries out work in the field of radiation safety, namely food safety tests for radionuclide content of 90Sr (strontium), 137Cs (cesium). For the control of food safety, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine approved in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Sanitary and Epidemic Wellbeing of the Population" State Hygienic Norms "Permissible levels of radionuclides 137Cs and 90Sr in food and drinking water". In the countries affected by the Chernobyl catastrophe, in particular in Ukraine, only two radionuclides are normalized: cesium-137 and strontium-90. This is due to the fact that these radionuclides, due to their physical and chemical properties, are easily incorporated into the biological processes of a person, substituting stable isotopes. Whereby, the norms for strontium-90 are more stringent than for cesium-137, which is associated with it’s greater danger.
Equipment
The usage of modern laboratory technologies, equipment of the new generation, the best reagents of foreign and national production guarantee high quality of the laboratory tests.
